LAS CRUCES, N.M. (April 6, 2024) – Coming off a 6-1 win Thursday at UT Permian Basin, No.21 Lubbock Christian University completed another 6-1 win Saturday, as they completed a Lone Star Conference dual victory over Western New Mexico. WNMU's home match was moved from Silver City, N.M. to Las Cruces and played at NM State Tennis Center.

Hannah Quick (No.3-doubles) each won their matches with a 6-2 score. Koroleva and Quick were teamed together for the first time this season.
Heading into singles play with a 1-0 lead, the Mustangs tied the dual at 1-1 with a win in No.1-singles. LCU responded winning out the final five singles matches, with a trio won in three sets. Jacquemin (No.3-singles), Opolska (No.4-singles) and
Maya Adler (No.5-singles) all won in three sets. LCU also received singles victories by No.35 De Bernardo (No.2-singles) and Koroleva (No.6-singles).
Opolska won her 13
th consecutive singles match and leads LCU with 24 singles victories (24-4). She is 18-1 in duals, 6-0 in the LSC and 3-0 playing in No.4-singles matches. Koroleva also claimed her 21
st singles win of the season (21-3 overall and 16-1 in duals) and has won nine consecutive singles matches. The doubles teams of De Bernardo / Trochez and Jacquemin / Opolska each won their 16
th win of the season, which co-leads the squad. Jacquemin / Opolska won their third consecutive match to move to 16-3 overall and 8-1 in duals.
LCU's win has them 3-3 in LSC play and they are 18-4 overall. They return home Thursday to host UT Tyler at 11 a.m. for a Lone Star Conference dual at Penny Gullo Tennis Center.
