EMPORIA, Kansas - The Lubbock Christian University Track & Field program concluded the 2024 outdoor season at the NCAA Division II National Championships this weekend.
Four student athletes competed in five total events for the Chaps at the national meet.
In field events,
Bryce Spencer scratched on all three of his hammer throw attempts. Spencer returned the next day to compete in the discus, finishing 16th overall with a mark of 50.26 meters.
LCU did not fair much better on the track, as
George Garcia placed 17th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 47.35 seconds. In the 100 meter
Nathaniel Luna ran a time of 10.50 seconds finishing in 18th place.
Anna Salisbury was the top performer for LCU, finishing 11th in the women's 400 meter. She ran a 53.96 to conclude her junior season.
