GOLDEN, Colo. - The Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team came up short against No. 6 Colorado School of Mines 2-0 Thursday on the road at Stermole Soccer Stadium.
With the loss, the Lady Chaps fall to 1-1-1 this season, while the Orediggers improve to 3-0-0.
How it Happened
After a scoreless first half, Mines struck first in the 58th minute when Ava Harman rocketed a shot from outside the penalty area past the LCU keeper. Bella Campos assisted on the goal.
The Orediggers extended their lead just four minutes later when they were awarded a penalty kick. Campos took the shot for Mines and found the back of the net.

- Sophomore goalkeeper Emma Wright piled up eight saves for the Lady Chaps out of 31 total Orediggers shots.
- LCU was out shot 31-5 in the loss.
- Avery Jennings, Emma Best, and Mia Chambliss recorded shots on goal in the loss for the Lady Chaps.
