DENVER, Colo. - The Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team came up short against Metropolitan State of Denver 1-0 Sunday (Sept. 15) on the road at The Assembly Athletic Complex.
Lubbock Christian dropped to 1-2-1 overall after the defeat.
How it Happened:
MSU Denver's Isa Durkin scored the games lone goal in the 14th minute to give the Roadrunners a 1-0 lead.
The Lady Chaps had multiple opportunities to tie the match in the second half but were unable to beat the MSU Denver goalkeeper.
Game Notes:
- LCU sophomore goalkeeper Emma Wright totaled six saves for the Lady Chaps out of 13 total Roadrunners shots.
- The Lady Chaps recorded six shots in the loss, three of them on goal. Of the three shots on goal two came in the second half of action.
- Avery Jennings led LCU with two shots on goal, Abcdee Hererra recorded the other for the Lady Chaps.
- LCU has been shutout back-to-back games.
