BETHANY, Okla. - The Lubbock Christian University men's soccer team fell 2-1 on the road against No. 14 Southern Nazarene Saturday afternoon at Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex.
Lubbock Christian fell to 1-2-1 on the season following the loss.
How it Happened:
Southern Nazarene opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Ceaser Solis blasted a penalty shot past the LCU keeper.
The Crimson Storm extended their lead in the 35th minute when Denham Kouri scored his first goal of the season.
LCU narrowed the gap to 2-1 when Joseph Abraham crossed a pass into the box to Nako Amare who put it past the SNU goalkeeper, his first goal of the season.
Game Notes:
- Connor Pettigrew collected two saves for the Chaparrals out of 14 total Crimson Storm shots.
- SNU out shot the Chaps 14-10.
- LCU's lone shot on goal came by way of Amare's goal.
- The Chaps move to 0-2-0 against top-25 teams this season.
