NAMPA, Idaho - The Lubbock Christian University men's soccer team shut out Hawaii Pacific 1-0 Thursday at the NNU Soccer & Lax Field.
The win improved Lubbock Christian's record to 2-2-1 overall.
How it Happened:
After a scoreless first half, LCU grabbed a 1-0 lead when Nako Amare dished a pass to Yannis Sapim who blasted a shot past the HPU goalkeeper.
Game Notes:
- Senior Connor Pettigrew totaled three saves for the Chaparrals out of nine total Sharks shots. The Frisco, Texas native has recorded three shutouts this season.
- LCU out shot Hawaii Pacific 11-9.
- The Chaps put three shots on goal in the win.
- Sapim's goal was his first of the season and the first of his LCU career.
