LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Fort Lewis to open the 2024 season Thursday night.
How it Happened
After a scoreless 52 minutes, Emma Best looped a pass into the penalty box that Ella Spiller corralled and poked past the goalkeeper to give the Lady Chaps a 1-0 lead. This was the first goal of Spiller's collegiate career.
The Skyhawks levelled the match on a goal from Ashlyn Salas in the 84th minute, assisted by Abila Tapia.
