HOBBS, N.M. (October 10, 2025) – The Lubbock Christian women's cross country team ran its final regular season race of the 2025 season at the Thunderbird Open.
 
The Lady Chaps placed third overall in the five-team field, scoring 61 points and posting a total team time of 1:39.51 in the 5K race.
 
Senior Olivia Weider had the standout performance, placing seventh individually. Her time of 18:57.4 was a new person best in a 5K race.
 
Amy Tew and Brooke Moorelock finished back-to-back in 12^th and 13^th, respectively. Tew finished with a time of 19:58.8 and Moorelock a time of 20:03.2.
 
Three more LCU runners finished all in a row from 19^th to 21^st. Kylie Knapp had a time of 20:22.9, Yahaira Martinez 20:29.3 and Bucki Smith 20:34.6. The final Lady Chap to score was Lily Rodriguez with a time of 20:37.9.
 
Lubbock Christian will next be in competition at the Lone Star Conference Championships on Oc. 25 in Fort Worth, Texas.
