She led the team in goals with 10 and tied for the team lead in assists with five. She finished the season with the sixth-most points (26) in the conference. Best, one of LCU's captains, had a solid junior season, playing 1,530 minutes on the back line, which was the third-most on the team. She helped anchor a Lad Chap defense that allowed just 1.00 goals per game and notch six shutouts on the year.
In her first season of college soccer, Smith played in all 18 games, including 15 starts, with 992 minutes of action. She scored her first collegiate goal on Sept. 17 and added two more before the end of the season, including the game-winner against UT Permian Basin. The Keller, Texas, native finished the year with 21 shots, 13 of which were on goal.
LCU finished the season 8-7-3 overall, going 6-5-2 in LSC play to finish seventh in the league standings.
