DALLAS, Texas (November 12, 2025) – Three members of the Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team were recognized with Lone Star Conference Postseason awards, the league announced on Wednesday.

Sophomore forward Ella Spiller was named to the All-LSC Second Team, junior defender Emma Best earned a spot on the All-LSC Third Team and freshman forward Sydney Smith was named to the league's All-Freshman Team. Spiller also claimed a spot on the All-Academic Team.

There was no sophomore slump to be had for Spiller, who was an All-LSC Second Team and All-Freshman Team selection last season. She led the team in goals with 10 and tied for the team lead in assists with five. She finished the season with the sixth-most points (26) in the conference. She also led the team in shots (54) and shots on goal (27). Spiller is majoring in integrated marketing and communications.

Best, one of LCU's captains, had a solid junior season, playing 1,530 minutes on the back line, which was the third-most on the team. She helped anchor a Lad Chap defense that allowed just 1.00 goals per game and notch six shutouts on the year.

In her first season of college soccer, Smith played in all 18 games, including 15 starts, with 992 minutes of action. She scored her first collegiate goal on Sept. 17 and added two more before the end of the season, including the game-winner against UT Permian Basin. The Keller, Texas, native finished the year with 21 shots, 13 of which were on goal.

LCU finished the season 8-7-3 overall, going 6-5-2 in LSC play to finish seventh in the league standings.
