GREENWOOD, Indiana (December 18, 2025) - Lubbock Christian University senior goalkeeper
Connor Pettigrew was named a First Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced on Tuesday.
A graduate student studying Accounting, Pettigrew was already named the Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year, earning a spot on the league's All-Academic Team for the second-straight season. He was also named to the All-LSC Second Team for his on-field performance.
Playing every minute of every game for the Chaps, Pettigrew allowed just 18 goals, posting a goals against average of 0.90 with a save percentage of .802. He made 73 saves overall and had seven shutouts, which was the most by a Chaparral goalkeeper since 2019. Twice during the season, he was named the LSC Goalkeeper of the Week.
In his four-year LCU career, Pettigrew played 44 games, posting a career record of 16-16-9.
The 2025 season was one the Chaps' most successful in program history, as they went 8-8-4 and played into the LSC Championship game for only the second time ever.
