LUBBOCK, Texas (February 1, 2025) - Five Chaparrals scored at least 10 points and Lubbock Christian took down the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds 88-68 at home Saturday, finishing their four-game homestand without a loss.

The Chaparrals (16-6, 11-3) shot a whopping 51.8 percent from the field in the win, including 46.2 percent from behind the arc. It is the 10th time this season LCU has made at least half of their shots in a game, and they are 10-0 in those contests.
Scoring came from all over for the Chaps, led by 19 points from both Ty Caswell and Ethan Duncan. Both players were 4-for-6 from behind the arc and each of them hit three free throws as well. Amondo Miller Jr. was close behind with 18, Najeeb Muhammad chipped in 11 and Kendall Dow had 10 points off the bench.
Lubbock Christian shared the ball well in Saturday's game, racking up 16 assists on 29 made field goals. Individually, Muhammad led the way for the Chaparrals with five assists and Sean Murphy also helped out with four assists of his own.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Chaps were hot to open the game, building an early nine-point lead on back-to-back threes from Duncan and Miller Jr. ENMU settled in and cut the gap to just four with 10:30 left in the first half, but Lubbock Christian went on a 14-0 run, culminating in a three from Duncan, to increase its lead to 34-16.
LCU led by as many as 22 in the half when Murphy hit a jumper at the 4:37 mark, but the Greyhounds were able to close the half on a 9-2 run, trailing by just 15 at the break.
Following intermission, Lubbock Christian kept widening that lead, using a 9-0 run, finished off by Caswell's three, to go up by 27 with 15:52 to go in the contest. The gap reached its widest margin of 28 points 30 seconds later when Miller Jr. made a pair of free throws.
The Greyhounds narrowed the margin some, but never drew closer than 18 the rest of the way. Even that short 6-2 burst was met with a three-pointer from Dow, as the Chaps never let ENMU build any momentum for a comeback attempt.

» Lubbock Christian turned the ball over just five times in the game. It is the 11th time this season they have had fewer than 10 turnovers.
» Ty Caswell and Ethan Duncan led the Chaparrals with a game-high 19 points each. Caswell now has 929 total points in his collegiate career.
» Duncan was percent from the floor in the first half, going 5-5, including 4-4 from behind the arc for 16 of his 19 points.
