HAYS, Kan. (September 18, 2025) — No. 20 Fort Hays State edged Lubbock Christian University 1-0 on Thursday at FHSU Soccer Stadium. The decisive goal came in the second half with less than 10 minutes left on the clock.
The Chaparrals managed three shots on goal but were unable to convert any into scores. Fort Hays State's defense held firm, earning a shutout in the tightly contested match.
Lubbock Christian stands at 1-4-0 overall after the loss. Fort Hays State improved to 3-0-2 overall following the victory.
The first half began with Fort Hays State applying early pressure, but Lubbock Christian's defense, led by goalkeeper
