RBI hits from Trinity Kuntz and Emily Liskai, along with a two-run home run from De Los Santos, powered the early surge. The Lady Buffs capitalized on three walks and a defensive miscue to build a 9-0 advantage before LCU could record the final out of the inning.

Cat Prisock and
Riley Flores reached to set the table before Vire singled to load the bases. Hamilton followed with a towering grand slam to right field, trimming the deficit to 10-4.
WT answered immediately. De Los Santos delivered an RBI double in the third to extend the lead, and the Lady Buffs added three more runs in the fourth, including a solo home run from Colborn and RBI-singles from Mya Chacon and De Los Santos, pushing the margin to 13-4.
The power display continued in the fifth, as Abby Howell and Colborn each homered to stretch the lead to 15-4. Vire answered with a solo shot in the bottom half, but the Lady Chaps could not extend the game, as a double play ended the contest via run rule.

The Lady Buffs then put the game out of reach in the sixth. A leadoff single and aggressive baserunning led to a run scoring on a steal of home, and De Los Santos followed with an RBI double. With two runners aboard, Janning delivered the decisive blow with a three-run home run to center, capping a six-run inning and extending the lead to 12-3.
