LAREDO, Texas (September 30, 2026) — Lubbock Christian University lost to Tex. A&M International 2-1 on Wednesday.
The Chaps are 4-5-1 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play. TAMIU is 4-3-2 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play.
Arath Valdez made an early save for the Chaps and the Chaps also dealt with three offside calls in the opening 13 minutes before Aaron DePaula forced Nicklas Berg-Eriksen into a save in the 18th minute with LCU's first shot on goal.
In the 22nd minute, Lubbock Christian took the lead when
Oli Robinson hit a rocket that ricocheted off the right post and in. It was his second goal of the season, making him the fifth different Chaparral with multiple scores in 2026.
After Robinson's goal,
Alex Lachevre sent a shot high in the 26th minute and the Chaps earned a corner in the 33rd. TAMIU tied the match at 35:20 on Rafael Zaic's goal from Wade Melville, and the half ended even at 1-1.
Valdez kept the Chaps even with saves in the 58th and 62nd minutes before Robinson forced Berg-Eriksen into a save in the 70th and
Max Moorahrend sent a follow-up chance wide. The go-ahead goal came in the 76th minute on Aidan Williams' goal from Jaime Martinez.
After the Dustdevils scored, Lachevre,
Augusto Militao and Robinson each recorded attempts as the Chaps pushed for a response. Valdez added four more saves over the final 17 minutes, but the Chaps could not find the tying goal before the match ended at 2-1.

Oli Robinson added three shots in the match, giving him 23 on the season, which is the fourth-most among LSC players
- The Chaps are now 8-6 all time against TAMIU in the all-time series that began in 2013, and this was their third loss ever in Laredo
- TAMIU came into the match ranked second in the LSC with 20 yellow cards but added five more and now leads the league in that category
- Valdez made his first-ever start at LCU in goal and made seven saves, raising his season total to 14
