Biography
2015-16 (JUNIOR): Allie was named the 2016 Elite 90 Award Winner at the National Championship Game in Indianapolis and finished fourth in the Elite 90 Fan Favorite Online Contest conducted by the NCAA. She appeared in 35 games and made two postseason starts when Kellyn Schneider was injured. She averaged 7.2 points and 4.7 rebounds a game, and was third on the team in blocks with 27. Produced nine games of double-figure point production.
2014-15 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 28 games (starting four) and averaged 10.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Led the Heartland Conference in free-throw percentage (87.0%, 87-100) and ranked second in the conference in shooting percentage (.545), ninth in offensive rebounds (59) and 10th in blocks (21).
2013-14 (FRESHMAN): She appeared in 23 games as a freshman and averaged 4.1 points and 3 rebounds per contest. Defensively, she had 19 blocks in the 23 games.
Prior to LCU
Szabo is from Merkel, Texas. She was part of a Merkel High School squad, which was the State Runner-Up in the UIL Class 2A State Basketball Tournament. Szabo claimed numerous awards last season, including Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 2A Player of the Year All-Big Country Class 2A MVP (Abilene Reporter) after averaging 17.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. She knocked down 52% of her shots last season and also claimed All-Tournament Honors in the Class 2A State Tournament. As a junior, she was a First Team All-State selection after claiming 5-2A All-District MVP honors. She also received MVP honors at the 2011 FiberMax Caprock Tournament. Allison also competed as a member of the Lady Badgers track and field team.
