Biography
2014-15 (JUNIOR): Schneider became the Lady Chaps first ever Daktronics All-South Central Region selection and claimed Second Team All-Heartland Conference honors and was the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year recipient. The junior from Lubbock, Texas broke the LCU and Heartland Conference single-season record for blocks with 113 (third amongst NCAA Div.II individuals). In 28 games, Schneider averaged 10.1 rebounds a contest to become only the third player in LCU history to average over 10 rebounds a game in a season. She helped bolster a defense that led the nation in blocks (256) and was third in the nation in opposing field goal percentage (.333). Named Heartland Conference Player of the Week on 1/26/15.
2013-14 (SOPHOMORE): At Texas Tech University, she averaged 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. She appeared in 27 games and finished fourth in blocks (11) for the Lady Raiders during the season.
2012-13 (FRESHMAN): Kellyn spent her freshman season with the Lady Raiders and averaged 1.6 points and was fourth in blocks (8).
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year standout at Monterey High School in Lubbock, where she amassed a school record 1,533 rebounds and tallied 1,571 points with 569 blocks and 617 assists in her Lady Plainsmen career. Schneider was a Lubbock Avalanche-Journal All-City Player of the Year as a senior and was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee.
