2016-2017 (JUNIOR):
LCU’s only returning starter off their 2016 NCAA Women's Basketball National Championship squad, Tess was named WBCA All-America (Honorable Mention), Heartland Conference Player of the Year and became a three-time All-Heartland Conference selection and a two-time First Team member... Tess wrapped up her junior season with averages of 16.3 points (second in the conference), 8.7 rebounds (third in the conference) and 3.9 blocks per game (led the conference and ranked second nationally)... The inside player averaged 19.4 points per game in conference play and 22.8 points a game in February (also shot 19-of-34 at 55.9% from three-point range during the month)... She closed out the season as the Heartland Conference’s all-time career leader in blocks (272) and was a five-time conference Player of the Week recipient and a two-time USBWA Division II Women’s Basketball National Player of the Week... Was also one of four players nationally to record a triple-double in a contest during the season... She claimed D2CCA All-South Central Region First Team honors...

2015-2016 (SOPHOMORE): Bruffey claimed First Team D2CCA All-Region and First Team All-Heartland Conference honors as a sophomore, including a spot on the All-Tournament Teams for the Heartland Conference Tournament and the South Central Regionals... She averaged 13.4 points per game in 35 games (11th in the Heartland Conference) and shot 55.6% from the field (third in the conference) with a team-co-leading 174 field goals (third in the conference)... Bruffey ranked 11th nationally in blocked shots with 78 (second on the team and in the conference)... She averaged 2.2 per game to rank 22nd nationally... Led LCU in scoring at home with an average of 14.7 points per home game...

2014-2015 (FRESHMAN): Bruffey was a Honorable Mention All-Heartland Conference selection and Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year recipient (LCU’s first recipient of the Freshman of the Year award while in the Heartland Conference)... Finished in the top-20 in the conference in both scoring (10.9 points per game) and rebounding (5.5 per game)... She also ranked second in blocks (86) and fifth in field goal percentage (.487)... Her 86 blocks is the second highest single-season total in program history (behind Schneider)...

HIGH SCHOOL: Tess is a homeschool product from Lubbock that participated with the Lubbock Titans, where she has been a teammate with Hannah Harbin and sister Claire Bruffey. Tess selected LCU after receiving offers from Texas Tech, Washington State and New Mexico to name a few. She was a 2013 Homeschool All-American.
