She appeared in all 16 LSC contests, and included in the mix was a 4-rebounds, 2-block performance against Arkansas Fort Smith on Jan. 6, 2022...

2019-20 (FRESHMAN): Whitney Cox had a special moment in the preseason, as she was able to compete against her older sister, Lauren, as LCU faced Baylor in Waco on October 30, 2019... The two were individually were later named as co-recipients of the Pat Summitt Award for Courage by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA)... She made 15 appearances her freshman season, with averages of 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 points per game...
HIGH SCHOOL: She is a native of Flower Mound, Texas and comes to LCU from Flower Mound High School... Averaged a team-leading 12.2 points a game in 2018-19 as a senior, with a team-best 9.5 rebounds a game... Claimed District 6-6A All-District honors and was a TGCA Class 6A All-State First Team selection her senior year (2019).... Spent four seasons with the varsity, including her freshman season as a teammate of sister Lauren, who was a two-time state Gatorade Player of the Year and went to Baylor.
PERSONAL: Whitney has three sisters, Lauren, Kaylee and Maddie... Mother, Brenda, played collegiate basketball at SMU ... Father, Dennis, played collegiate basketball at Central Methodist (Fayette, Mo.) .. Sister Lauren, 2020 WNBA First-Round Draft selection by Indiana, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of seven and has been a model and an unofficial spokesman towards the awareness of T1D. Her younger sister, Whitney, was diagnosed at the age of 17, and now both players have aimed to inspire others with T1D...
