Was a standout two-sport athlete at Hobbs High School, excelling in both basketball and volleyball... A dominant post presence, she became Hobbs High School’s all-time leader in career blocks in December 2024, surpassing 126 rejections during her senior season... Cunningham capped her prep career with New Mexico High School Coaches Association (NMHSCA) All-State honors in 2024–25 and surpassed the 1,000-point milestone in January of her senior year... As a junior, she earned First Team All-District 4-5A honors while helping lead Hobbs to another deep postseason run... Her high school career included three consecutive appearances in the state semifinals and a 2023 Class 5A state championship, where Hobbs defeated Volcano Vista 52–45... During her senior season, the Lady Eagles finished 29–2 and reached the New Mexico 5A state title game, falling to Sandia 47–38 at The Pit in Albuquerque... Off the court, Cunningham competed for CyFair Elite WTX and the NM Zias Basketball Organization, gaining valuable experience against top regional competition...
