Biography

2014-15 (REDSHIRTED): Red-Shirted during the season.

2013-14 (JUNIOR): Hit the 1,000-point plateau on 11/29/13 with a career-matching 23-point performance against Hawai’i Pacific. She claimed Heartland Conference First Team All-Conferencce honors, ranking seventh in the conference in rebounds per game (8.3) and 11th in points per game (14.5). She led the team in each of the categories. The two-time conference Player of the Week recipient led the conference with a 2.2 assist/turnover ratio. Hampton also ranked second in assists (129), assists per game (5.0), defensive rebounds per game (5.8) and free-throw percentage (90.6%), third in steals (69), steals per game (2.7), fourth in field goal percentage (52.7%) and tied for fourth in three-point shooting (42.2%). Set the program single-game record on 1/18/14 at McMurry with a 14-of-14 shooting performance from the free-throw line. Produced her second triple-double of her career on 1/25/14 at Oklahoma Panhandle State.

2012-13 (SOPHOMORE): Hampton would play in 35 games in her second season with the Lady Chaps.  She would finish second on the teams in scoring with 443 points and averaging 12.7 points.  Nicole shot 92% from the free throw line and 44% from three point range.  She would lead the team in rebounds (310), assists (192), and steals (68).  Hampton was named SAC Co-Player of the Year, NAIA All-American, and All-NAIA National Tournament Team.

2011-12 (FRESHMAN): Nicole played in 34 games during her freshman season at LCU.  She scored 454 points averaging 13.4 points along with 21 from behind the arch.  She would also finish with 263 rebounds which is third most in a single season, 127 assists, and 86 steals.

In High School
Nicole was named the Class 4A UIL State Tournament Most Valuable Player and an All-Tournament team member after leading Canyon to the 2011 state championship title for the program's 15th state title. Canyon finished the season 38-0 her senior season. Nicole was part of two Canyon titles, as she was part of the 2008 title winning team as a freshman. She claimed Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A-4A Player of the Year honors and is a TGCA All-Star selection. Nicole is the younger sister of Jordan and Brittany Hampton. They each graduated from LCU as All-Americans at LCU, with Brittany serving as Nicole's teammate during Nicole's freshman season with the Lady Chaparrals.
