Orozco opened the season hot, setting a new personal best in the 5K at the Texas Tech Open with a time of 21:26.9. The next week, Orozco recorded a time of 26:26.8 in the 6.275K at the ACU Naimadu Classic. She finished a season-high 20th place in the 5K at the D-II Preview with a time of 21:38.3.
