Branson, formerly Daniel, was named the Lady Chaps interim head coach on Feb. 15, 2021. She joined the Lady Chaparrals coaching staff in the summer of 2019 after serving two seasons as head coach at Lubbock Christian High School. The Aledo, Texas native led the Lady Eagles to the Area Round of the TAPPS 4A playoffs last season, where they fell to eventual state champions Grace Prep. Under her guidance, Branson and the Lady Eagles were recognized by Side-Out Foundation and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for fundraising efforts through the Dig Pink® Rally.
She played four seasons (2011-2014) for the Lady Chaps, spending much of the time at Libero. Branson combined for 986 digs (3.78 per set) in 83 career matches while at LCU. In 2014, she ranked ninth nationally and fourth in the Heartland Conference in digs per set with a rate of 6.13.
Prior to coaching at Lubbock Christian High School, she served as student involvement coordinator at Lubbock Christian University. She is married to Alex Branson.
