WEATHERLADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals hit the road for a four-game road trip, which begins with a trip to Wichita Falls, Texas Friday to face Midwestern State, followed by a stop Sunday to Ada, Okla. to square off with East Central.
• LCU heads into the trip following a 1-0 loss to Western State Colorado, which placed them with a 3-1-0 record and with their first loss of the season.
• The Lady Chaps are 1-0-0 on the road this season and 10-8-0 all-time under head coach
Alex Denning. LCU went 4-4-0 last season on the road and they are 21-13-3 all-time on the road.
STORY LINES• The Lady Chaps had their win streak to open the season end at three games, which is a mark they have now accomplished in three of the program's five seasons of existence.
• LCU has not allowed a goal yet on the road this season, as goalkeeper
Lauren Story and the Lady Chaps recorded a clean sheet in a 3-0 road win at Wayland Baptist on September 6th.
• The last two seasons have seen the Lady Chaps play at opposite ends on the road in non-conference play. In 2012, LCU was 3-0 on the road against non-conference foes, but last year went 0-3 in the scenario. This season, they are 1-0 in non-conference road games.
• Despite one goal in their last two games, LCU continues to lead Heartland Conference teams in points per game with a statistical average of 8.8 per game. They lead the conference in average goals per game (3.3) and in assists per game (2.3).
• Entering the weekend with 13 points,
Brooke Wendl continues to lead all Heartland Conference players with an average of 3.3 points a game. Her 13 points is made up of a conference leading 5 goals and 3 assists.
SCOUTING MSU• The Mustangs are unbeaten on the season with a 2-0-3 record.
• After ties in their first three games of the season, the Mustangs have won two consecutive games, including a 6-0 victory over Oklahoma Christian.
