WEATHERHOBBS, N.M. (September 30, 2014) – The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals complete a home-and-home season series with University of the Southwest (N.M.) Tuesday evening, as they face the Mustangs at 8 p.m. (Central) at Hobbs High School's Watson Stadium.
LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals play the final game of a four-game road trip. They have not played at home since Sept. 14 and do not return home until Oct. 6 to host Texas-Permian Basin.
• LCU is 1-2-0 thus far on the trip after a 2-0 win at Texas-Permian Basin Thursday.
• The Lady Chaps are 2-2-0 on the road this season and 11-10-0 all-time under head coach
Alex Denning. LCU went 4-4-0 last season on the road and they are 22-15-3 all-time on the road.
STORY LINES• Tuesday's game will mark the final non-conference game of the season for LCU. Their four wins in non-conference play surpasses last season's three non-conference wins (3-5-0).
• LCU has outscored their opponents 7-3 in the first half this season but have only had a halftime lead in one of their last five games.

Brooke Wendl surpassed her goal totals from last season (5) and has six goals on the season after scoring the first goal Thursday at UTPB. The goal also stood as the game winning goal for her third of the season. She ranks eighth among NCAA Div. II players with her three game-winning goals.
• Four of LCU's seven goal scorers have at least a .500% shooting percentage of shots on goal.

SCOUTING USW• The Mustangs are 2-2-1 this season and enters the game following a 2-1 home win over Southwestern Christian University.
• USW is 1-0-0 at home this season. Last season, they went 2-4-1 last season at home.
• The NAIA program is a member of the Red River Athletic Conference, which currently only has one of its 10 members (University of St. Thomas) with a record better that .500.
• Samantha Gutierrez leads the Mustangs with four points and is USW's only player with at least two goals. She also leads the team in shots with eight.
SERIES HISTORY WITH USW• LCU leads the all-time series 5-1-0.
• The last meeting between the two teams was on Sept. 4, 2014, with LCU winning 9-2 at home. They had hat tricks from
Brooke Wendl and
Claudia Sanchez in the game.
• Of the six all-time meetings, only one prior meeting has occurred in Hobbs. Sept. 25, 2012 marked the last time USW hosted LCU and the game resulted in a 3-0 LCU win.
• The Lady Chaps have won the prior four meetings.
• Four of the six all-time prior meetings have also ended in a shutout, including a 1-0 USW win over LCU on Aug. 29, 2011, which is USW's lone win in the all-time series.
