LCU Soccer Field (Lubbock, Texas)

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•   The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals continue amidst an originally scheduled seven-game homestand (down to six due to the weather-cancelled contest with Midwestern State) and they open Heartland Conference play hosting St. Mary's Thursday and Texas A&M International Saturday.
•   LCU enters the week 2-2-3. The Lady Chaps enter the week following a 1-1 double-overtime draw with Texas-Permian Basin Friday at home.
•   The Lady Chaps, 5-2-0 last season at home, are 2-0-2 this season at home. LCU is 18-6-4 all-time at home under Alex Denning (7-3-2 all-time under Denning in conference home games) and 22-14-6 all-time overall at home.

STORY LINES
•   LCU enters the week with 49 all-time program wins and their next win will mark their 50th in program history.
•   Brooke Wendl finds herself amongst several statistical leaderboards. She enters the week leading the Heartland Conference in points (14), assists (4) and shots (31), while also ranking second in goals (5). Nationally, Wendl ranks 26th in assists and 48th in points.
•   LCU's 1-1 overtime draw Friday marked the third time this season an LCU game has ended in a tie, which sets a new single season mark for ties in program history. LCU is now 2-6-9 all-time in games ending in overtime (0-0-3) this season.
•   The Lady Chaps lead the Heartland Conference in points (40), goals (15) and assists (10). Their 40 points ranks 40th nationally.
•   How important is it for LCU to score first? They are 2-0-2 and have not lost a game when scoring first. At the same time, LCU has not lost a game when they score at least a goal in a game.
•   LCU had a season high 37 shots Friday against UTPB, which ranked tied for the fifth highest single-game total in program history (Sept. 24, 2013 against Northwestern Okla. State was the last time they had at least 37 shots). The Lady Chaps out-shot the Falcons 37-4 in the game and had a 16-3 advantage in shots on goal. The mark has LCU entering the week leading the conference averaging 19.7 shots a game.
•  The Lady Chaps are 5-0-0 all-time in conference openers and 2-0-0 all-time in Heartland Conference openers. They are 13-4-0 all-time in Heartland Conference games and 6-2 all-time in Heartland Conference home games.

SCOUTING StMU
•   The Rattlers are 5-2-0 this season and are on a three-game win streak after a 2-0 home win over Our Lady of the Lake.
•   StMU has not played a true road game this season. They went 3-5-0 last season on the road.
•   St. Mary's is preseason picked No.4 in the Heartland Conference after coming off an 8-10-0 season (4-4-0 in conference) a year ago.
•   Rachel Gurinsky leads the Rattlers with four goals and eight assists.
•   The Rattlers have out-scored their opponents 4-0 in their current three-game win streak and have not allowed a goal over a span of 294:53.

SERIES HISTORY WITH StMU
•   The all-time series is tied 2-2-0, with LCU winning the prior two meetings (LCU 2-0-0 as conference opponents).
•   Three of the four prior meetings have been decided by one goal, including a 3-2 win on Oct. 12, 2013, which was the last meeting in Lubbock.
•   LCU won last season's meeting 3-1 to end St. Mary's six-game win streak. They received a pair of goals from Brooke Wendl and one from Claudia Sanchez in the Oct. 13, 2014 meeting.
