LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals continue amidst an originally scheduled seven-game homestand (down to six due to the weather-cancelled contest with Midwestern State) and they close out their opening weekend of Heartland Conference play Saturday hosting Texas A&M International.
• LCU enters the contest 3-2-3 overall and 1-0-0 in conference following a 3-1 win Thursday over St. Mary's in their Heartland Conference opener.
• The Lady Chaps, 5-2-0 last season at home, are 3-0-2 this season at home. LCU is 19-6-4 all-time at home under
Alex Denning (8-3-2 all-time under Denning in conference home games) and 23-14-6 all-time overall at home.
STORY LINES• Thursday's 3-1 win was the program's 50th all-time victory (50-38-9).

Brooke Wendl finds herself amongst several statistical leaderboards. She enters the week leading the Heartland Conference in points (14), assists (4) and shots (31), while also ranking second in goals (5). Nationally, Wendl ranks 26th in assists and 48th in points.
• LCU ended some streaks in their 3-1 win against StMU. They ended the Rattlers three-game win streak and ended their shutout sequence at 352:12. The three goals allowed matched a season high for the Rattlers.
• The Lady Chaps lead the Heartland Conference in points (46), goals (18) and assists (10). They entered the week with 40 points ranks 40th nationally.
• How important is it for LCU to score first? They are 3-0-2 and have not lost a game when scoring first. At the same time, LCU has not lost a game when they score at least a goal in a game.
• LCU has out-shot their opponents in three consecutive games. The Lady Chaps, who entered the week leading the conference averaging 19.7 shots a game, have a 3-0-2 record when out-shooting opponents.
• The Lady Chaps are 14-4-0 all-time in Heartland Conference games and 7-2-0 all-time in Heartland Conference home games.
SCOUTING TAMIU• The Dustdevils are 1-8-0 on the season and are coming off a 1-0 loss Thursday at Texas-Permian Basin to extend their losing skid to six games (four shutouts in the streak).
• TAMIU went 7-7-1 last season overall and 2-3-1 on the road. The Dustdevils are 0-6-0 on the road this season and have lost seven consecutive road games dating back to last season.
• Kim Garcia leads TAMIU with four goals and nine points.
• Goalkeeper Chelsea Knaack entered the week ranking 13th nationally (second in the conference) with 7.9 saves per game.
TAMIU has not scored a goal in their last 189:58 and have been outscored 16-1 over the prior five games.
