LAREDO, Texas (April 11, 2015) – Lubbock Christian University and Texas A&M International University were unable to complete their three-game Heartland Conference series Saturday at Uni-Trade Stadium because of showers.
Saturday morning showers delayed the originally scheduled 1 p.m. start time and City of Laredo officials, who operate Uni-Trade Stadium, were unable to prepare the field playable due to the forecast of continuing showers throughout the day. With the field untarped and showers remaining in the forecast, the game will be cancelled and the Chaps will return to Lubbock.
The two teams split Friday's doubleheader. LCU's next game is scheduled for Tuesday, as they head to Canyon, Texas to face West Texas A&M with a 6 p.m. first pitch.
