LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•   The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals make their first road trip of the young season, heading to Colorado, where they will face Western State Colorado in Gunnison, Colo. (Thursday) and Adams State in Alamosa, Colo. (Saturday).
•   LCU enters the week 1-0-1 after a season opening 7-1  win Thursday over Southwest (N.M.) followed with a 2-2 tie Saturday to Eastern New Mexico. Both games were played at home.
•    The Lady Chaps went 6-4-0 on the road last season and are 15-12-0 all-time on the road under head coach Alex Denning. Overall all-time, LCU is 25-22-2 all-time on the road.

STORY LINES
•   On the road last season, Brooke Wendl led LCU with 19 points in nine road games, with eight goals and three assists. Ashley Ledford recorded six goals last season and five were tallied on the road.
•   The Heartland Conference announced their opening week conference weekly honors and Lubbock Christian University women's soccer forward Brooke Wendl received the conference's Offensive Player of the Week honor. Wendl helped the Lady Chaparrals to a 1-0-1 week with 10 points off five goals. She produced her five goals in the opening 96:09 of the season. In a 7-1 win Thursday over University of the Southwest (N.M.), she recorded a program single-game record four goals. The four goals tied a Heartland Conference single-game record as well. The goals led to eight points, which ranks tied for second for points in a single game by a Heartland Conference member. It was her second eight-point game of her career and her prior game of eight points came in the 2014 season opener against Southwest ironically. She followed the game with a goal Saturday to open the scoring in a 2-2 tie with Eastern New Mexico.  The 10-point week extended her program career leading numbers to include 42 goals and 108 points. She also registered her program leading 14th career game winning goal. The conference's reigning Offensive Player of the Year, Wendl receives the Heartland Conference Player of the Week honor for the fourth time in her career. She was a two-time recipient last season.
•   LCU has claimed two goals this season off "own goals." They went without an own goal last season.
•   LCU enters the week following a 2-2 tie Saturday to Eastern New Mexico. The tie contest placed LCU's all-time overtime record at 2-6-7. It was their first tie game since Oct. 25, 2012.
•   The Lady Chaps lead the Heartland Conference with nine goals through two games.  The entire rest of the conference (eight teams) has combined for 10 goals in 14 games.
•   In the opening game of the season (against University of the Southwest), LCU goalkeeper Lauren Story recorded a win without a save recorded. Ironically, the last time she completed that task was in the season opener last season against University of the Southwest.
