LCU HIGHLIGHTS• LCU has suffered two losses this season and both have been shutouts on the road.
• The Lady Chaps three-game road trip, which covered over 550 miles to the northwest and nearly 400 miles to the east, has come to a close and now they can return home where they are 1-0-0 and play their next seven games.
• LCU, held to five shots, did receive two shots off the bench, as
Shannon Rogers and
Ashley Ledford each subbed in and produced a shot.
HOW IT HAPPENED• A&M-Commerce set the tone early, scoring the opening goal 2:23 into the game of Vicky Back goal for her sixth goal of the season.
• Julia Hernandez produced a two-goal game for the Lions, tallying her first two goals of the game. Her first came in the 12th minute and the second came in the 47th minute (1:33 into the second half).
• Madison Cordts closed the game's scoring with a tally in the 68th minute for her second goal of the season.
GAME NOTES• LCU was held to a low of five shots and one shot on goal (
Brooke Wendl 17th minute), which is their lowest offensive work since held to two shots (none on goal) on Nov. 2, 2013 vs. Dallas Baptist.
• Lady Chaps goalkeeper
Leslie Castellano so the both ends of the goalkeeping statistical spectrum, matching a career high in saves (5) and setting a career high in goals allowed (4), as she faced nine shots on goal. She was making her second career and consecutive start.
• The Lions out-shot LCU 18-5 in the game, which is the most an opponent has out-shot LCU since Midwestern State out-shot LCU 27-9 on Sept. 19, 2014.
• The road shutout marks the 10th time LCU has been shutout on the road in program history and the second this season. They opened the road trip with a 5-0 loss at Western State (Colo.) on Sept. 10. There are several similarities between the two shutouts. At Western State, LCU allowed a goal in the 1:40 into the game and 1:36 into the second half. At TAMUC, LCU allowed a goal in 2:23 into the game and 1:33 into the second half.
• The Lady Chaparrals are now winless in their last six non-conference road games (0-5-1). The Lady Chaparrals move to 15-14-0 all-time under head coach

• LCU is 0-1-0 all-time against TAMUC and 1-4-1 all-time against Lone Star Conference foes.
