Lady Chaps Head Into a Lions' Den... Comes Out a Winner

Lady Chaps Not Phased By Sellout Crowd and National Television in Big Win

FORT SMITH, Ark. (January 16, 2015) -  Nicole Hampton supplied 20 points and Kellyn Schneider registered her first double-double (11 rebounds, 10 points) of the season to lead No.2/4 Lubbock Christian University to a 73-50 win over Arkansas – Fort Smith at a sold out Stubblefield Center.

All of Fowler's points in the half came in the second quarter.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
A 7-1 run in the third quarter took the wind out of the Lady Lions sails. After a back-and-forth start to the third quarter and LCU leading 44-28, Fowler hit a three-pointer and it was followed by a pair of field goals by Allison Szabo to put LCU up 51-29 (2:34 remaining in the quarter).

STAT OF THE GAME
Hampton, who is on pace to set the program career free-throw shooting mark had a rare night at the line, going 5-of-8 from the charity stripe. It was the first time she had missed three free throws in a game since a 3-of-6 performance on Jan. 23, 2014 at Newman. She followed that performance going 14 consecutive games with one miss or less from the line.
