Highlights
 
Lubbock Christian University won their third straight Heartland Conference contest, defeating TAMIU in straight sets for their third 3-0 win of the season. Christiana Tavo led LCU in kills (9) and blocks (4) in the match. LCU had a .256 kill percentage in the set and had 12 attack errors compared the TAMIU's 25.
 
How It Happened
 
Set One:
The opening set was the only set with a lead change and there were four of them. The lead changes were early in the set and TAMIU's 8-7 lead would be their final lead of the match. LCU led 15-13 and closed the set on a 10-0 run for a 25-13 set win. Lauren Zoller served the final nine serves in the set and had three aces. Emily Hanaway had four kills to lead LCU in the set.
 
Set Two:
The second set was a mismatch at the net. LCU had nine kills and four blocks at the net, while TAMIU had three kills and produced 15 attack errors for a -.324 kill percentage. LCU opened the set on a 16-0 run and closed the set on an 8-0 run for a 25-8 set win. Tavo led LCU with four kills in the set and Ariel Froeschl had two kills on four attempts and produced three blocks. 
 
Set Three:
LCU sprinted out to a 13-5 lead in the final set and used a 19-3 run to take a 22-6 lead. The won the set 25-10. Zoller paced LCU with five digs in the set. LCU had 12 kills and two errors in the set for a .294 attack mark.
 
Inside the Numbers:
-.102 – TAMIU's negative attack percentage marked the second time this season a LCU opponent has been in the negative and it was the lowest attack percentage by an opponent this season.
6 – LCU had six aces, which is the third straight game LCU has had at least five aces in a match.
.429 – Ariel Froeschl had a .429 attack percentage with seven kills and one attack error on 14 attempts.
