CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• LCU plays the second game of a three-game homestand, hosting Texas Permian Basin for a Heartland Conference and West Division battle.
• The Chaparrals are 4-10-1 on the season and are 3-7-1 in Heartland Conference play after a 1-0 double overtime home loss to West Texas A&M. The Chaps are ranked 10th in the Heartland Conference standings (10 points) and are in last in the West Division (0-3-0 / 0 points, seven points behind division co-leading West Texas A&M and UTPB). The West Division is the only division in the conference that has all four teams with at least 10 standing points (conference standing points).
• LCU, who went 2-4-2 at home last season and are 2-2-1 at home this season, is 8-8-1 all-time in Heartland Conference home games (LCU went 1-3-0 last season at home in conference play). LCU is 28-17-8 all-time overall at home.
STORY LINES
• The Chaps are 20-15-1 all-time in Heartland Conference contests.
• LCU suffered a shutout Thursday in a 1-0 double overtime loss to West Texas A&M, marking the fifth time they have been shutout this season. All-time, it was the 29
th time they have been shutout and the 15
th time at home. The five shutouts in a season sets a program single-season mark.
• LCU is desperately needing a win to avoid elimination of postseason contention. In West Division play, LCU seven standing points behind the division leaders with nine standing points left up for grabs (three games remaining).
• The Chaps rank 40
th nationally in fouls per game, with an average of 10.8 per contest. Breaking it down even more, LCU is averaging 15.4 fouls at home and 8.5 per game away from home.
• Of LCU's 12 goals on the season, eight have come in the second half. LCU has not produced a goal in the first half at home this season.

Fernando Rios is third nationally in goalkeeping minutes played with a conference leading 1383:25. Rios is coming off a 12-save performance Thursday, which matched a program record held by Alistair Caldwell (12 saves on Sept. 11, 2010 at Texas Wesleyan). Rio's mark stands as a high at home. The 12 saves also matched a team single-game high, matching that Sept. 11, 2010 date.
SCOUTING UTPB
• The Falcons are coming off a 4-13-0 mark last season. They are 4-8-2 this season, which includes a 4-5-2 conference record.
• UTPB, who went 3-8-0 last season on the road, is 2-5-1 on the road this season. They have lost their last two road games and Saturday marks their final road game of the season.
• The Heartland Conference has UTPB preseason picked 12th in the conference preseason poll. UTPB has been a Heartland Conference member since moving into Division II (from NAIA), but this is their first season in which men's soccer is their only affiliated program with the Heartland Conference, as their other sports are in their first season competing in the Lone Star Conference.
• UTPB, as a team, leads the conference and is 10
th nationally in saves per game (6.57 per game). Alex Sproule ranks seventh nationally in saves (84) and 10
th nationally with a rate of six per game (6.0).
• Like LCU, the Falcons rank as one of the nation's best in the foul department, averaging 8.4 per game to rank as the seventh lowest amount nationally.

• LCU has a 5-1-0 all-time series advantage over UTPB
• The two teams are meeting twice this season (for a fourth consecutive season) with this serving as the first of two meetings this season.
