LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals open the 2016 Heartland Conference Tournament in Austin, Texas (hosted by St. Edward's) facing No.2-seed Dallas Baptist University. The tournament is a four-team single elimination tournament, with the winner of the game playing Saturday against the winner of the contest between No.1-seed St. Edward's and No.4-seed St. Mary's.
• LCU enters the game 8-4-5 overall and concluded conference play with a 6-4-4 mark. They are coming off a 4-3 road loss Saturday in the regular season finale in Wichita, Kan. against Newman.
• The Lady Chaps are 2-1-0 all-time in neutral site games and all three games have been under head coach
Alex Denning's tenure. LCU is 0-1-0 all-time in Heartland Conference Tournament neutral site games, falling 1-0 in Dallas, Texas (Nov. 6, 2015 vs. St. Edward's). The Lady Chaps have played in a neutral site game in Austin, Texas, but not at St. Edward's. The last neutral site game for LCU in Austin was on Sept. 27, 2012 (2-1 win over Houston-Victoria).
STORY LINES
• The Lady Chaps are 0-4 all-time in postseason play. They made three appearances in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament, falling to Oklahoma City (2010 and 2011) and Science & Arts of Oklahoma (2012) in the opening round of each tournament. Last season, their first season eligible for Heartland Conference and NCAA postseason play, LCU fell in the opening round of the Heartland Conference Tournament 1-0.
• LCU has a single-season record eight shutouts on the season, which accounts for all eight wins. The Lady Chaps do not have a victory this season in which they have allowed a goal.
• The 2016 All-Heartland Women's Soccer Teams and postseason honors were announced Wednesday and seven Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals were recognized, with
Haley Knesek highlighting the list for LCU with Freshman of the Year and First Team accolades.
Kate O'Gara,
Audra Park and
Hollie Windham joined Knesek on the First Team, while
Katie Pullano claimed a spot on the Second Team and the Third Team consisted of
Claudia Sanchez and
Sarah Palmer. The conference office announced the awards following a vote by Heartland coaches.

Haley Knesek ranks 27th nationally in points per game with a mark of 1.7 (leads the conference). Her conference leading 29 points ranks 28th nationally and seven assists ranks 49th nationally. She is the only player in the South Central Region ranking in the top-five in both goals (third) and assists (tied for fourth), as her 29 points ranks second in the region. All 11 of her goals came in conference play.
• The Lady Chaps have 34 assists as a team this season, which ranks 20th in the nation in total assists. They average 2.0 per game, which ranks 18th nationally.
• LCU's 6.4 points per game ranks 30th nationally and second in the conference. Their 37 goals ranks 42nd nationally.
• The Lady Chaps have out-shot their opponents 204-59 in the first half this season and 15-2 in the second overtime period this season. Overall, LCU averages a 24.5 - 8.4 advantage in shots per game.
SCOUTING DBU
• The Patriots are coming off a 15-4-3 season in 2015, going 6-0-2 in conference play and 4-3-2 on the road. DBU is unbeaten in their past four games and have won three straight games to place their record at 10-5-3 and they concluded conference play with a mark of 10-2-2.
• Despite finishing in second place in the conference, DBU is represented with one lone First Team member in the All-Conference Teams list (defender MacKenzie Rice).
• The Heartland Conference preseason poll had DBU picked to finish first in the conference.
• Kristina Williamson (Second Team All-Conference) leads DBU in scoring this season with 11 points off five goals and one assist. Two of her five goals have been for game winners.
• DBU leads the Heartland Conference in save percentage, with a mark of 86% (ranks 25
th nationally). Goalkeeper Hope Koym (Second Team All-Conference) leads the conference in save percentage (88.1%) and ranks 12
th nationally in the category.
SERIES HISTORY WITH DBU
• DBU leads the all-time series 4-0-1.
• LCU is 0-1-1 against DBU this season. On Sept. 17, LCU fell 1-0 at DBU in Dallas, and the two teams followed with a 1-1 2OT draw in Lubbock on Oct. 20. Knesek had LCU's lone goal in the season series.
• This is the first postseason meeting between the two programs.
