All-Time Series: StMU leads 6-3

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (April 1, 2016) – The Lubbock Christian University softball team will travel to San Antonio to face conference leader and No. 9 ranked St Mary's in a pivotal Heartland Conference series at the Softball Stadium in The Park at St. Mary's. Friday will feature a doubleheader with game one set for 4 p.m. The series will conclude with a single game on Saturday scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.

FIRST
The Lady Chaps first faced the Rattlers on February 22, 2013, winning that contest 6-3. Since that day LCU has lost six of the next eight meetings. The two teams met earlier this season in a non-conference affair in which St. Mary's was victorious.

LEADER
Several Lady Chaps lead the conference in various categories. Lindzi Clemmer is tops in triples with four. Katera Eltsosie leads the Heartland in wins with 17 and teammate Katlyn Holmes is in second with 14. Morgan Colburn leads in almost every other offensive category: batting average (.442), runs scored (51), total bases (116), runs-batted-in (49), slugging percentage (1.027) and home runs (18). Colburn leads the nation in home runs as well as being the only hitter with more than 100 at-bats with a slugging percentage above 1.000.

ACTION
All of the Lady Chap games will be available to watch/listen live and live stats will be streamed. You can catch all of the action at www.lcuchaps.com.

LAST MEETING

The Lady Chaps faced fellow Heartland conference member St. Mary's (2-0). The Rattlers scored two runs in the first inning off of a Lady Chap throwing error. In the third St. Mary's tacked on their final three runs off of two hits and two hit batters. Sammie Murrietta led off the fourth inning with a solo shot to left for LCU's lone run of the game.
