CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• The seventh season in the program history of LCU men's soccer gets underway Friday evening in Colorado Springs, Colo., as LCU faces Colorado Colorado State for the first time in program history.
• Following the game, they head south to Pueblo, Colo. to face Colorado State – Pueblo Sunday afternoon.
• The Chaps are coming off an 8-7-2 season last year, which included a share of sixth place in the Heartland Conference standings. This season marks the first season under the coaching guidance of
Paul Gilbert.
STORY LINES
• Friday's game is the debut of Gilbert, as the game marks his first game to coach as a collegiate head coach and his first game coaching the Chaps.
• LCU is 5-1-0 all-time in season openers and 0-1-0 in opening the season on the road. LCU head coaches are 2-1-0 in their coaching debut with the program.
• Lubbock Christian went 6-3-0 last season in road competition. They are 31-17-5 all-time in road play.
Mickey Brunton, a returning member of the Chaps, was tied for second on the squad last season with eight points (2g,4a) on the road last season.
• This season mark's LCU's fourth season as members of the Heartland Conference and second season with conference and NCAA postseason eligibility. LCU is preseason picked ninth in the Heartland Conference.
• The Chaps have eight new additions on their roster this season.

SCOUTING UCCS
• The Mountain Lions are coming off a strong 2015 season in which they finished 13-5-0 overall and second place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with an 8-2-0 mark. The 13 wins was a program single-season record.
• UCCS went 7-3-0 last season at home, winning four of their final five regular season home games.
• The RMAC has UCCS preseason picked fourth in the conference preseason poll.
• J.R. Calhoun was the 2015 leading scorer for the Mountain Lions with 17 points (7 goals, 3 assists) and returns for his senior season.
• UCCS went 5-2-0 last season in non-conference games and they have won their last three non-conference games. They are unbeaten in their last five non-conference home games (4-0-1), with their last home loss in non-conference play coming on Sept. 13, 2013 vs. Eastern New Mexico.
SERIES HISTORY WITH UCCS
• This meeting marks the first ever meeting between the two programs.
• LCU is 3-0-0 all-time in Colorado and 3-0-0 against RMAC programs.
