LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals open this week's play with a Heartland Conference tilt with Newman University. It is the third game of a four-game homestand for the Lady Chaps.
• LCU enters the game 4-2-1 overall and 2-2-1 in conference following a 5-0 win at home over Texas A&M International.
• LCU, who went 7-0-2 at home last season, is 3-0-1 at home this season and are unbeaten in their last 13 home games. LCU is 26-6-5 all-time at home under
Alex Denning (13-3-4 all-time under Denning in conference home games) and 30-14-7 all-time overall at home.
STORY LINES
• The Lady Chaps are 19-8-1 all-time in Heartland Conference games, 11-2-1 all-time in Heartland Conference home games.
• LCU followed their program high 57-shot contest Thursday against St. Mary's with 46 shots against TAMIU. That is 103 shots in the past two games combined (LCU combined for 64 in their prior five combined games). Of the 103 shots, 32 have been shots on goal, with 16 in each of the prior two games.

Haley Knesek was selected as the Heartland Conference Offensive Player of the Week for matches played from Sept. 19 - Sept. 25. The freshman from Aledo, Texas helped LCU to a 1-0-1 week with six points off two goals and two assists. Her goals were vital, as she produced the equalizer with less than five minutes to go against St. Mary's to force overtime, and then followed that with the game winning goal against Texas A&M International. She became the 19th player in program history to match a program single game record Saturday, when she tallied a two-assist game against TAMIU.
• The Lady Chaps have 18 assists as a team this season, which ranks 15th in the nation in total assists. They average 2.57 per game, which ranks 11th nationally.
• Knesek co-leads the conference with two game winning goals. Two goals off the national mark.

Ashley Ledford and
Kate O'Gara each have three assists and rank tied for second in the conference. Tori Andrade of St. Mary's leads the conference with four.
SCOUTING NU
• The Jets are coming off a 6-8-2 season in 2015, going 3-4-1 in conference play and 4-4-0 on the road. NU is coming off a 3-1 home loss to St. Edward's, which places them 3-3-3 on the season and 2-2-1 in conference. They are 1-0-2 on the road this season and are unbeaten 4-0-2 in their last six road games. Overall, they are winless in their last three games.
• The Heartland Conference preseason poll has NU picked to finish fifth in the conference.
• With six shutouts on the season, NU leads the conference and ranks 13th nationally in shutout percentage (66.7%) and 28th with an 0.62 GAA.
• Like LCU's Knesek, Morgan Foster has two game winning goals to co-lead the conference.
• As a team, the Jets have scored seven goals on the season and three have been by Erin Mink, who had NU's lone goal in their 3-1 loss Saturday to St. Edward's.
SERIES HISTORY WITH NU
• LCU leads the all-time series 3-0-0.
• Last season (Oct. 15, 2015), the two teams met in Wichita, Kan., with
Jamie Boone coming off the bench to score the game's lone goal in a 1-0 LCU road win.
• In the prior meeting in Lubbock (Oct. 20, 2014), LCU won 2-0 with goals from
