GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (February 12, 2017) – The Lady Chaps will wrap-up play in the North Texas Softball Bash hosted by the City of Grand Prairie's Department of Parks, Arts and Recreation Sunday at 10:00 a.m. against Texas A&M - Kingsville. The Lady Chaps split Friday's games taking game one 5-4 over Texas Woman's off a walk-off grand slam from
Averi Miller and fell to Tarleton State 12-2 in game two. LCU swept all three games on Saturday by defeating Regis 2-0, No.5 Southern Arkansas 13-12 on a walk-off hit in the 10
th inning and shutting-out Northwestern Oklahoma State 3-0.

Alyssa Hanks has a hit in all six games she has played this year. Beuthien has successfully reached base in all 11 games the Lady Chaps have played this season and now has another hit streak of her own going with five consecutive games.

PREVIOUS MEETING
KINGSVILLE, Texas (March 18, 2016) – Lubbock Christian swept Texas A&M-Kingsville taking game one 9-1 and game two 8-0 in the Friday double-header at the Vernie and Blanche Hubert Field.
The Javelinas jumped on the board early scoring a run in the bottom of the first when Lauren Oatman crossed the plate off the bat of Victoria Schoonard-Saborio. In the top of the second LCU bounced back plating two runs of their own with one coming on a throwing error by the TAMUK center fielder and the other being driven in by
Ashton Bell. In the fourth inning the Lady Chaps would score another four runs to go up 6-1 after two more errors by the Javelinas. Lubbock Christian scored an additional three runs in the fifth inning while TAMUK committed another error. The Lady Chaps outhit TAMUK nine to five in the five-inning, run-ruled shortened contest.
Katera Eltsosie (15-3) allowed only one run to garner her 15th victory of the year. Eltsosie allowed five hits while striking out three Javelinas. Karri Smith (3-6) suffered her sixth loss of the season allowing nine hits on nine runs while giving up two walks.
LCU scored two runs in the first inning to get on top early.

Ashton Bell hit a sacrifice fly to left field to plate
Morgan Colburn. The Lady Chaps got another four runs in the second three of which came off Colburn's nation-leading 15th home run. In the third inning
Sydney Beuthien singled to center to score Bell to put LCU up 7-0. The final Lady Chap run came in the top of the eighth inning off of the bat of
Roxy Curiel plating Bell.
Katlyn Holmes (11-2) threw her second consecutive shutout. Holmes allowed four hits striking out two TAMUK batters. For the Javelinas Carlie Clark (4-6) got the start in the circle lasting only one inning allowing four runs on one hit giving up five walks. Michaela Huebotter came in to throw the last four innings of the five-run, run-rule shortened affair allowing the other four runs off six hits.
