IN THE BOX
No.6 Lubbock Christian University and No.8 Angelo State meet for the second game of a three-game series with a 5 p.m. first pitch at Foster Field. Friday, LCU blew a 6-4 ninth inning lead, ending a streak of 61 consecutive games in which they won when leading after eight innings. The last time LCU lost when leading after the eight inning was ironically during a 2013 meeting between the same two teams at Foster Field. LCU will seek to end ASU's six game win streak, while looking for their first true road win of the season (0-1).

            - Making his third start of the season. His last outing came last Friday in the second game of a four-game series with Adams State and he went six innings without allowing an earned run and surrendered six hits. He went six innings in each of his two prior starts this season. He has allowed 10 hits this season and only two for extra bases.
 
ASU – Shane Browning (0-0, 5.63 ERA)
            - Browning has given up five runs off seven hits in eight innings over two prior starts, but he has held the opposition to a .233 batting average despite the 5.63 ERA. He has 12 strikeouts in eight innings, with six in his prior two appearances. Browning is a Lubbock native and product of Lubbock High.
  
LOOKING BACK
Angelo State had five players reach base without swinging the bat in the bottom of the ninth inning and Lubbock Christian University's Brent Bezio walked four batters including the final two with the bases loaded, allowing No.8 ASU to overcome a 6-3 deficit and claim a 7-6 walk-off victory over the No.6 Chaparrals Friday evening at Foster Field. The outcome overshadowed a two-home run performance by Caleb Koedyker, who finished the game with five runs-batted-in.
