OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (April 7, 2017) –The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals head to Oklahoma City to face Heartland foe Oklahoma Christian in a conference series Friday and Saturday at Tom Heath Field on the OC campus, with the first pitch of the Friday doubleheader set for 5:00 p.m. and Saturday's game scheduled for a 12:00 noon start.

The Lady Chaps are hitting .316 as a team, led by
Sydney Beuthien (.402). She also leads the team in slugging percentage (.710), doubles (9), hits (43), runs-batted-in (35), total bases (76) and home runs (8).
Courtney Medina leads the Lady Chaps in stolen bases with 26 total. In the circle,
Katera Eltsosie leads LCU with a 12-4 record and a 2.38 earned run average . She also holds the most innings pitched (88.1).
Katlyn Holmes is tops on the team with four saves this season, placing her fourth in the nation.

The Lady Eagles enter the weekend hitting .300 as a team. They are led by Sheidan Bond, who is hitting .352. Bond also leads the team in triples (4) and doubles (9). Bridget White has the best slugging percentage (.528) and also leads the team with 32 runs-batted-in. Haley Squier is first on the team with 14 stolen bases. In the circle, Madison Hagood leads the team in virtually every category: wins (11), appearances (25), earned-run-average (1.53), innings pitched (114.1), strikeouts (92), complete games (13), shutouts (3) and saves (3). SAN ANTONIO, Texas (April 28, 2016) – A solo home run by
Morgan Colburn is all Lubbock Christian University softball needed to win its first ever Heartland Conference Tournament contest by defeating the Lady Eagles of Oklahoma Christian at The Softball Stadium inside The Park at St. Mary's in San Antonio, Texas on Thursday.
With two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning and no one on base, Colburn broke-up the pitcher's duel with a rocket over the center field fence for her NCAA-leading 23rd home run of the year. The Lady Chaps (43-12) outhit Oklahoma Christian (26-25) in the game six-to-five. Two of those hit off the bat of Colburn who was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate and also drew a walk in the contest.

Liz Torres all had hits on the day.
Kelsey Hoppel got the start in the circle for the LCU and threw the first five innings allowing no runs off of three hits and striking out three Lady Eagles along the way.
Katlyn Holmes (19-4) came in to pitch the final two innings to complete the shutout to earn her 19th win of the season and the eighth shutout for the Lady Chaps this year. Madison Hagood (17-10) went the distance in the circle for OC allowing the one run off of six hits.
