No.6 Lubbock Christian University returns home, following a seven-game road trip, where they look to build on a six-game home win streak. The Chaps host St. Edward's for a four-game nonconference series with a doubleheader on Friday and Saturday. The Chaps have won 13 of their last 15 games and have a 7-4 record at Hays Field.

LOOKING BACK
A three-run bottom of the seventh inning in the opening game led to a Texas A&M International 7-6 walk-off win and ended No.8 Lubbock Christian University's 11-game win streak, but LCU bounced back with an 8-5 win in the second game to split Saturday's doubleheader. LCU ended up claiming three of the four games in the nonconference series at Jorge Haynes Field.

Logan Nethercot has reached base safely in all 18 games this season. Ryan Rogers is the team active hit-streak leader, with hits in 11 consecutive games. He is 19-for-44 (.442) with seven homers over the span. Rogers has produced at least one RBI in 12 straight games (27 RBI in the span).
 
ROGERS RECOGNITION
LCU went 3-1 on the road and improved their road record to 6-1, with Ryan Rogers hitting .600 in a four-game series at Texas A&M International. The senior from Littlefield, Texasa was 9-for-15 with two doubles and three home runs leading to 10 RBI in the series. Rogers also had a 1.333 slugging mark and an on-base percentage of .650. In the opening game of the series, Rogers went 4-for-4 with a double and two home runs with four RBI. Four of Rogers' hits came with two outs and he was 3-for-5 with runners in scoring position. This is Rogers' second weekly award this season and the third straight Heartland Hitter of the Week award for Lubbock Christian. 
 
DEEP CONVERSATION
LCU has produced at least one home run in nine consecutive games, placing their season total at 31. They had 22 home runs all of last season. The deep ball has LCU entering the week seventh nationally in home runs and leading the Heartland Conference. Last season, LCU took two-of-three games in their Heartland Conference series, but the season series ended 2-2, as SEU won the final two meetings. SEU won 23-9 (Apr. 7, 2017) at Hays Field and 12-8 at the Heartland Conference Tournament in Cleburne, Texas.
