Although they stem from the same conference, No.6 Lubbock Christian University and St. Edward's play their final conference tune-up with a noon doubleheader at Hays Field to concluded a four-game nonconference series. LCU gets into conference play next Friday hosting Oklahoma Christian. The Chaps have won 14 of their last 17 games and have an 8-5 record at Hays Field. The two squads will have their conference series in Austin, Texas on Apr. 27 and 28.

LOOKING BACK
The No.6 Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals opened a four-game nonconference series with a doubleheader split Friday at Hays Field, winning the opener 7-6 before falling 12-2 in the second game, which ended LCU's seven-game home win streak. 
 
STREAKS
Ryan Rogers' 13-game RBI streak and 12-game hit streak came to an end Friday. Three players with a two-game hit streak co-lead the team. Logan Nethercot has reached base safely in all 20 games this season.

LCU leads the all-time series with an advantage of 19-11 dating back to 1986. The Chaps are 9-5 all-time at Hays Field against the 'Toppers. Last season, LCU took two-of-three games in their Heartland Conference series, but the season series ended 2-2, as SEU won the final two meetings. SEU won 23-9 (Apr. 7, 2017) at Hays Field and 12-8 at the Heartland Conference Tournament in Cleburne, Texas.
