Last season, LCU took two-of-three games in their Heartland Conference series, but the season series ended 2-2, as SEU won the final two meetings. SEU won 23-9 (Apr. 7, 2017) at Hays Field and 12-8 at the Heartland Conference Tournament in Cleburne, Texas.
