- Lubbock Christian has won three straight games dating back to October 17 against St. Mary's, and is now in a tie for fourth in the Lone Star Conference with 19 total points
- Haley Knesek scored her eighth goal of the season in Thursday's win over Midwestern State. She leads the conference in that category and in total points, which she has 21 of
- The Lady Chaps are second in the Lone Star Conference on offense this season, averaging 2.43 goals per game
- Freshman Celia Duarte has seven assists this season, which is the most in a single season since Knesek had seven as a freshman in 2016. The last LCU player with more than seven assists in one season was Brooke Wendl in 2014 with nine
- Saturday's game is the first the Lady Chaps have played outside the state of Texas since the opening weekend of the season when they went to Colorado for a pair of games
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- LCU will be playing on the road for the last time this season on Saturday. They are currently 4-3-1 in games away from home and need a win to secure a winning road record for the first time since 2014
- The Lady Chaps have give up just one goal per game on average in 2019, which is tied for the fifth-lowest mark in the LSC. On the flip side, the Eagles scoring average is .69, which is the second-worst conference number
- Three Lubbock Christian players – Knesek, Duarte and Allison Scott – all rank inside the top five in total points among LSC players
- Maddie Hoel scored the game-winner on Thursday against Midwestern State. The freshman now has three goals and three assists this year for nine total points
- The Lady Chaps have made a habit of scoring early this season, tallying 12 goals in the first 15 minutes of games. Knesek helped continue this trend with a score in the 11th minute on Thursday at Midwestern State
SCOUTING OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN
- The Eagles are 11th in the Lone Star Conference standings with just six points after wins over Texas A&M International (2-1) and UT Permian Basin (2-0)
- Natalie Thomas leads the OC offense with three goals this season and has assisted one other score for seven total points
- Oklahoma Christian's defense gives up an average of 2.54 goals per game, which is the second-worst mark in the LSC
- Gabby Goddard has seen the majority of the time in goal for the Eagles, making 83 saves (2nd in the LSC) but allowing 33 goals
- OC did win on Thursday, taking down UTPB 2-0. The Eagles have not won in back-to-back contests, however, since September 27 and 29 of 2016 when they beat Northwest Oklahoma State and Rogers State in consecutive games

- Lubbock Christian and Oklahoma Christian first met in 2010 and have played 10 times in total with the Lady Chaps never having suffered a loss. LCU has nine wins overall, the last two of which were by scores of 6-0. In 2016, the Eagles did fight to a 3-3 draw with the Lady Chaps at the Eagle Soccer Field, but there has not yet been an OC victory in the all-time series
