LUBBOCK, Texas (February 18, 2019) – Lubbock Christian University softball head coach Daren Hays announced that their game with West Texas A&M scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19 has been postponed.
 
The game has been moved to Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. at LCU's PlainsCapital Park. It marks is the fifth game of the last seven originally scheduled games against West Texas A&M to result in a change due to the weather. It marks the second game this season against the Lady Buffs to be changed or cancelled. Weather has led to six schedule changes this season to the softball schedule. Friday (Feb. 15), LCU played a pair of games at University of the Southwest (N.M.), which were not originally scheduled, due to the cancellation of five games at the Edmond Regional Festival II in Oklahoma they were originally scheduled to play.
 
LCU, with a 9-1 overall record, will now prepare to host Newman for their Heartland Conference opener scheduled Saturday with a noon doubleheader.
