  • The Chaps took fourth place in a ten-team field at the 2015 Heartland Conference Championships, led by top-25 finishes from Carsten Russell and Marco Arias.

AJ Game Recap in 1988

  • In their lone meeting of the 1981 season, the Lady Chaps defeated Southern Nazarene 2-1 in a three-set match at a tournament in Fort Worth, Texas hosted by Texas Wesleyan.
  • A win over Sul Ross State inside LCU Fieldhouse in 1988 extended an LCU win streak to six matches, as a pair of Lady Chaps set career milestones. Stephanie Raley (Free) had nine kills and 31 digs in the match to become the first player to surpass 1,000 career kills in LCU program history. She also passed 1,000 career digs in the same match to become the third Lady Chap to record the task. Debbie Denison (Hendricks) had 54 assists in the match and surpassed 3,000 career assists.
  • In 1992, LCU claimed a NAIA District 8 victory over Dallas Baptist in Dallas. Jody Hamrick led LCU with nine kills and four blocks.
  • Karen Gasch (Escamilla) produced 20 kills and 16 digs and Misty Tarbet came off the bench to add 13 kills and 16 digs, as each completed a double-double to surge LCU to a 3-1 win in Hobbs, N.M. over Southwest (N.M.). Julie Williams (18 kills) and Mindy Ratliff (Jones) (16) also had offensive contributions in the 2000 meeting.
  • LCU went to Siloam Springs, Ark. for the 2003 John Brown Tournament and claimed 3-0 wins over John Brown and Evangel.
  • The Lady Chaps went to Greyhound Arena in Portales, N.M. in 2006 and produced a 3-0 win over Eastern New Mexico.
  • The No. 24 Lady Chaparrals extended their overall winning streak to 20 matches in 2008, as they defeated Southern Nazarene in four sets (3-1) inside Sawyer Center in Bethany, Okla. Suzanne Childress (11 kills, 15 digs), Kelsey Odell (Williams) (15 kills, 13 digs) and Rachel Stuyvesant (Ketcherside) (43 assists, 13 digs) each produced double-doubles for the Lady Chaps in the win.

  • Elissa Loynes (Bowman) and Odell (Williams) each had 11 kills to help defeat Oklahoma City in straight sets (3-0) inside Rip Griffin Center in a 2009 Sooner Athletic Conference match.
  • Kacey Deterding (Hanslik) recorded 18 kills to guide LCU to a three-set win over Newman in a Heartland Conference tilt at Rip Griffin Center in 2013.
  • In 2015, LCU and Tarleton State were meeting for the first time since 2004. In that prior meeting, head coach Jennifer Lawrence (Craig) was in the midst of her first season leading the Lady Chaps and assistant Mandy Polk (Moffitt) was a senior setter on the team. That match ended in a 3-2 loss for LCU, but on this 2015 occasion, the duo was able to lead the squad to a 3-1 statement win. A huge defensive effort on the net led to the Lady Chaps amassing a season-best 15 team blocks with Christiana Tavo (Whitcher) stopping a career-high 10 attacks along with seven each from Emily Hanaway and Ariel Froeschl (Gargula). The feat proves even more impressive considering it came against the nation's kill leader in TSU's Hailey Roberts. Froeschl (Gargula) also had seven kills and finished with 24 after 17 in an earlier match on the day. Hanaway led LCU with 13 kills and Mallory Powell finished with a double-double (36 assists, 10 digs).

Women's Cross-Country
  • Texas A&M International (Laredo, Texas) was the host of the 2015 Heartland Conference Championships, and the Lady Chaps earned a fourth place finish out of 10 teams on the Dustdevil course. All-Conference Honors went to three LCU runners, as Daisy Tuwei, Gladys Miranda and Amira McKee (Cunningham) all finished in the top 15 individually.15_WXC_HC

Shanae Ammons led the way for the Lady Chaps, placing second overall with a total score of 151, including a round two score of 72, which was a career low.

A freshman connection gave the Lady Chaps the lead again in the 74th minute, as Celia Duarte assisted on a goal from Maddie Hoel.
