LUBBOCK, Texas (October 28, 2020) – The Lubbock Christian University women's basketball program will play a pair of scrimmages on the road before they tip-off their 2020-2021 exhibition and regular season schedule.
 
LCU will head to Gunnison, Colo. Saturday (October 31) to face Western Colorado at noon (central) inside Paul Wright Arena. They will conclude their scrimmage schedule Saturday, November 7, in Edmond, Okla. facing Central Oklahoma at 1 p.m. inside Hamilton Field House.
 
Western Colorado was one of eight teams in Lubbock preparing for the 2020 NCAA Division II South Central Region Tournament, which was canceled due to COVID-19 in March. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) program begins their regular season Nov. 19 in a schedule consisting solely of RMAC competition.
 
Central Oklahoma and LCU went into overtime last season, in a regular season meeting in San Antonio, Texas (Nov. 30) hosted by St. Mary's. LCU was ranked No.1 at the time and survived in overtime 68-63. UCO tips their regular season schedule (solely against Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) programs) Nov. 19.

General public will not be permitted to attend the game in Gunnison, while UCO will have attendance policies in place involving COVID-19 screening. Fans interested in attending the game in Edmond are encouraged to contact the UCO Athletic Department, as they comply with their latest local and state guidelines. LCU continues to await their Lone Star Conference schedule, as the conference has yet to announce it. The Lady Chaps went 28-3 last season and claimed the Lone Star Conference Tournament title, competing in their first season as LSC members.
