Jenna Lyons had eight kills in two sets played,

How It Happened
Set One:
The Lady Chaps wasted no time, jumping out to a 6-0 lead to open the match behind a pair of kills from Froeschl. Taking advantage of a trio of LCU attack errors, the Dustdevls gradually came back and was able to cut their deficit to three points (11-8). A kill by
Sage Chain ended the TAMIU's climb and
Zoe Parker followed with consecutive errors to ignite a 6-0 run. The nine-point advantage was enough, as LCU claimed the opening set 25-18.
Aaliyah Gray (5) and
Sage Post (4) combined for nine of LCU's 15 kills in the set.
Set Two:
LCU had another scoring outburst to open a set, as they scored set's first eight points (
Jenna Lyons with a pair of kills during the run), leading to a TAMIU timeout. The Dustdevils finally broke LCU's serve and the teams traded points until a 7-2 Lady Chaps run allowed them to build the lead to 17-5. They claimed the set 25-14 behind 4.0 team blocks and nine TAMIU attack errors.
Set Three:
TAMIU jumped out with an early lead in the third set, maintaining a two-point lead up to 8-6 before LCU went on a scoring binge. The Lady Chaps went on an 11-0 run and outscored TAMIU 19-3 to close the set and match (LCU won the final set 25-11). LCU hit .412 in the set, with Lyons (5) and Froeschl (4) combining for nine kills on 18 attempts to spark LCU's attack mark in the frame. The Lady Chaps had a 17-7 kill advantage in the set, as TAMIU had kills from two individuals in the set.
