Highlights
Lubbock Christian University closed out their Lone Star Conference regular season falling to UTPB, and eliminated from clinching a postseason tournament berth. Isela Murillo led UTPB with a match-high 17 kills. The Falcons benefited off 13 blocks in the match. LCU was unable to win despite 14 kills from Sage Post and a double-double from Jalee Sims (29 dis, 28 assists). Murillo (17 kills, 17 digs) and Analise Lucio (36 assists, 27 digs) each had a double-double performance in the win for the Falcons.

How It Happened

Set One:
There were six lead changes in the opening set, including the score tied nine times. Following a 4-1 UTPB run to put LCU's deficit at 14-9, the Lady Chaps called a timeout, which proved to be a turning point. LCU responded with an 11-3 run and took a 20-17 lead. A pair of UTPB aces by Daylee Doggett made things interesting late, as her pair of aces tied the set at 22-22. A kill by Sage Chain set up set-point, which LCU claimed to win the set 25-22. Sage Post led LCU with four kills in the set.     

Set Two:
With the set knotted up 10-10, UTPB went on a 5-0 run, which eventually turned into an 8-2 run for a 18-12 Falcons lead. LCU was unable to cut the deficit within four points the rest of the way, dropping the set 25-20. The teams combined for 61 digs in the set, with Zoe Parker and Maddie DeGuire each with 10 of LCU's 31 digs. Analise Lucio had 10 digs to lead UTPB in the set. Isella Murillo led the Falcons and all players in the set with six kills. Sage Post and Sage Chain each had four kills to lead LCU.
 
Set Three:
The final score of the set was misleading, as LCU and UTPB had seven lead changes in the set. The set shifted gears when tied 16-16, as UTPB closed the set on a 9-1 run. Aquincia Strambler led UTPB with five kills in the set, while Avery Moore led LCU with four.
 
Set Four:
LCU had an early 6-4 lead before UTPB went on an 8-1 run with kills from five different individuals for a 12-7 lead. Sage Chain had a solo block to get a 3-1 LCU run going to pull within three points (13-10). UTPB extended a 15-12 lead with a 5-1 run and it sealed the match with a 25-17 set win. Jalee Sims led all players with 12 digs in the set. Murillo led UTPB with five kills.

7 – The Lady Chaps matched their second-highest block total on the season with seven for a third time this season. Kalli Dalland led LCU with four blocks (two shy of her career-high total).
