LUBBOCK, Texas (March 19, 2021) – Due to COVID-19 testing protocols, Friday night's Lubbock Christian University volleyball against Western New Mexico has been canceled, and WNMU is returning to Silver City, N.M.
 
The contest was to serve as the final game of the already-complicated 2020 volleyball season. The 2020 season, which would typically start in September, was pushed to the spring of 2021. LCU had several schedule changes in the fall (scrimmage season), but was able to complete all their Lone Star Conference matches this season without COVID complications. With this week serving as the final week of the regular season, Friday's match will not be made up and will be canceled.
 
LCU had their season end with a 3-10 record, with a 2-10 mark in LSC play. The 2021 season is expected to begin in the fall.
