LUBBOCK, Texas (March 28, 2021) – The Lubbock Christian University women's golf team returns to action with a trip to the ERAU OCC Women's Collegiate Invitational at Oceanside Country Club beginning on Monday in Ormond Beach, Florida.

The 36-hole tournament, hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, will be the fourth tournament of the spring for the Lady Chaps and will be the last one before the Lone Star Conference Championships.

LCU is coming off a 14
th place finish at the Lion Invitational a week ago where they shot a two-round total of 684 (337-347).

The one-day event will take place at Oceanside Country Club, where the weather is expected to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy.

The Lady Chaps will travel seven players to Ormond Beach, Florida.

Lady Chaps' Lineup

Prestley Hammond: The freshman was the lowest scoring Lady Chap at the Lion Invitational, shooting her second lowest two-round total (165) on the season. Hammond's average score is 83.23, which leads all Lady Chap golfers.

Peyton Oliver: The Senior from Carlsbad, N.M., has competed in every tournament for the Lady Chaps. Oliver averages 85.92 strokes per round and has a best finish of 17
th.

Aspen Escamilla: The ERAU OCC Women's Collegiate Invitational will be Escamilla's seventh tournament of the season to appear in the Lady Chaps Lineup. Escamilla's best finish on the season is 10
th place individually.

Jillian Jones: Jones will be making her seventh tournament appearance of the season for the Lady Chaps. Her lowest round is a 78 and averages 87.69 strokes in 13 rounds this season.

Ashton Mangum: Competing in her seventh tournament as well for the Lady Chaps, the junior's lowest two round score of the season is 168. Â Her best finish on the year is 21
st place.

Samantha Blount: Blount will compete in her third tournament on the season. Of the two previous tournaments as an individual, her 26
th place finish at the BU Spring Break Classic was her best finish.

Kyra Jones: Â The freshman will make her third appearance for the Lady Chaps on the 2020-21 season. K. Jones has shot a 198 in both tournaments as an individual on the season and has a best finish of 28
th.
