Angela Donaldson (4) combined for 10 RBI on the day, as Lubbock Christian University swept a doubleheader over Midwestern State with victories of 8-0 (in five innings) and 11-4 Sunday afternoon at PlainsCapital Park.

With two outs in the third inning, as the game was scoreless, LCU sent eight consecutive batters to the plate, as they scored seven runs.
How it Happened:
- With two outs in the bottom of the third inning, LCU sent eight consecutive batters to the plate, with four getting base hits. Tyla Lee singles in a run, Addi Lewis drove in a pair with a single, Angela Donaldson drove in two off a triple and Alivia Villarreal smacked a two-run home run for the quick seven-run strike in the inning.
- The only other LCU run came off a solo home run in the fourth inning by Skylar Herrera.
Inside the Numbers:
- Taylor Franco pitched her 15th complete game of the season and improved to 13-4 in the circle on the season. She went 5.0 innings and did not allow a run off four hits. She struck out seven batters.
- Skylar Herrera became the team co-leader in home runs, hitting her seventh of the season and the 11th of her LCU career.
- LCU was able to get their lead-off batter aboard in all four inning of at-bats.
- The Lady Chaps were 4-of-8 with runners in scoring position and in two-out at-bats, while MSU was 0-for-5 in each of the same categories.
- LCU's run-rule win was their 13th shortened win of the season. Eight of LCU's last 12 games played at home have resulted in run-rule shortened wins.

Turning Point:
Four of LCU's first five batters in the bottom of the third inning hit singles and turned a 4-2 LCU lead into a 7-2 advantage.
How it Happened:
- LCU jumped out early with a four-run first inning. Makemson (RBI-single) and Villarreal (RBI-double) had the key hits to give LCU a 4-0 lead.
- Payton Griffin homered for MSU in the top of the second inning, which was part of a two-run inning to cut LCU's lead in half.
- The Lady Chaps had a three-run third inning and a three-run fourth inning, with Donaldson and Villarreal each hitting RBI-singles in each of the innings. Villarreal had three RBI and Donaldson had two in the combined two innings, which provided LCU a 10-3 lead.
- Makemson tripled to leadoff the sixth inning and scored on a Lee's single through the right side for a 11-4 lead.
Inside the Numbers:
- Dakota Stotyn collected the win in the circle (in relief) to improve to 8-2 on the season. She allowed one earned run off five hits in 4.0 innings.
- Makemson's second triple of the season and LCU has 16 triples this season. The mark is the fourth best single season mark in program history in LCU. The program single-season mark for the team is when they hit 27 in 2012.
- LCU produced a season-high 15 hits, which is their highest single-game mark since ironically April 11, 2019.
- For a second time this season, LCU had two sacrifice flies in a game. Lee and Muniz each hit a sacrifice fly, which provides LCU with 14 as a team on the season. They are six away from entering the program's top-five single-season mark in school history.
- LCU struck out once at the plate, which marked the 11th game this season LCU had one strikeout or less that the plate. They have completed the task in five of their last six games.
- The results Sunday placed LCU with a 3-4 all-time record against the Mustangs. The Mustangs had their overall road losing skid extended to 36 games.
